My Story

Frank was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Francis X. Kelly and Mary E. Kelly. He was the second oldest child--sister Kathleen was the oldest--and eldest son. A family man, helped his mother care for younger siblings Patricia, Joe, Jerry, and Rosemary before joining the US Navy.

Frank was a military man who dedicated his life to serving his country. He served honorably in the Navy for 28 years. He served on numerous ships, including his favorite, the USS Nimitz.

He was always the strong, protective "big brother" to sisters Pat and Rose, and remained both a source of inspiration and wisdom to all of his siblings.

Frank met and married fellow Philadelphian beauty Anna Witkowski, a lifelong friend of his beloved sister, Pat, at age 21. Frank and Anna lived and loved for just over 40 years--celebrating their "ruby wedding anniversary" last August. Undoubtedly, the happiest times of his life were the times he shared with family. Frank and Anna frequented auctions and craft shows... always relishing their moments together. Together, they raised four children: Francis III, John, David, and Bethany.

Frank was a very creative and talented man with a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed baking lavish and delicious cakes--whse prodigious talents were passed on to gifted daughter, Beth--and enjoyed making gorgeous floral arrangements. His original floral designs were featured prominently at sons John and David's weddings.

Frank also loved animals; spoiled dogs Pepper, Spice, Rhee, Dancer, Caesar, and cats Snowman, Pogo and Tigger were always well fed and happy.

May He Rest in Eternal Peace.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand
